Techno music is a form of electronic music which became popular during the 1980s and 1990s. Though it originated Detroit, Michigan, during the late 90s its popularity levels went so high that they topped on almost every music chart. It was named as Techno because this kind of music was made keeping in mind that it must sound futuristic and with full of technology. Though these days people often associate Techno with trance or house and especially in East Europe and North America. Techno music is believed to have been created in the basement studios by the band called The Belleville Three. The members of this band were studying at a college in Detroit when they recorded the first Techno song then. Their techno music became an overnight hit and various local radio stations started playing their Techno music during the late night hours. Though techno music was initially perceived to be as purely party music, it was over the years mixed with other music genres to produce a version which would suit to the taste of the local public.
